Colon Hydrotherapy in Birmingham & the West Midlands

Definition of Colon Hydrotherapy

Colon hydrotherapy, also known as colonic irrigation is similar to an enema. It involves the introduction of discrete amounts of water, sometimes infused with minerals or other materials, into the colon and released after a short period. The process will be repeated multiple times during the course of a treatment.

It is used to get rid of accumulation of fecal matter in the large intestine, which can cause health problems. Hydrotherapists believe the process leads to better overall wellness, as well as aiding specific diseases, including chronic fatigue, arthritis, and sinusitis.

Do not, however, undertake this treatment if you suffer diverticulitis, ulcerative colitis, Crohn's disease, severe or internal hemorrhoids or tumors in the rectum or colon.
