Definition of Astrology

Astrology is the study of the positions and aspects of the planets and their effects on our nature and tendencies. Natal astrology considers the positions of the planets at the exact time of your birth and is the most popular form of astrological reading. Lunar astrology is based around the movements of the moon and horary astrology uses the positions and aspects of the planets at the time of a particular occurrence, such as the asking of a question, to gain insight. Synastry uses the natal charts of two people to draw conclusions about their relationship.

Astrology is mathematically based. It incorporates each of the planets, as well as signs (such as Aries or Pisces), houses (numbered one to ten) and aspects. Each Sign represents a different aspect of the whole human; Aries starts the cycle, representing the Self, and Pisces completes it, representing the mass unconscious of all mankind.
